Consultants and SAS doctors in Wales vote to strike

Consultants and specialist, associate specialist, and specialty (SAS) doctors in Wales have voted to take strike action as part of their dispute with the Welsh government over pay. The BMA is calling on all consultants and SAS doctors in Wales to participate in a 48 hour strike from 7 am on Tuesday 16 April to 7am on Thursday 18 April, except for those providing “Christmas day” cover.
The action will follow a four day strike by junior doctors in Wales that starts on Monday 25 March.1
