BMA disagrees that 15 of 16 junior contract issues are resolved

The BMA has reiterated that it does not agree with the government’s statement that 15 of the 16 issues around the junior doctors’ contract have been resolved.
The Department of Health and NHS Employers have both stated that 15 of the 16 issues that it had agreed to discuss with the BMA, after conciliatory talks, had been resolved.1 2 However, a spokeswoman for the BMA said that the statement was disingenuous. “We simply do not recognise that figure—it is a misrepresentation of the talks,” she said.
