James Russell Dickson

James Russell Dickson (“Jim”) was born in Liverpool in 1922 and was educated at Alleyn’s School in Dulwich. He studied at Guy’s Hospital during the second world war, did national service as a general medical officer in the Royal Air Force, and then specialised in surgery, obtaining his FRCS. He went to practise as a consultant surgeon at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital in Guernsey in 1956.
