Think rationally rather than intuitively to avoid diagnostic errors, doctors are told

What is thinking?

Thinking is a joint venture of our conscious and unconscious.
Consciously, thinking involves the reorganization of facts to create
knowledge. Unconsciously, thinking involves the germination of knowledge
to create wisdom. By creating knowledge and wisdom, thinking enables us to
understand ourselves and the world. To know the unknowable, think the
unthinkable.
