Rapid Response:

Considerations about cardiovascular disease and cephalalgias

The recent and past descriptives around cardiovascular disease in
migraine , considering retrospective and cohort studies , enhanced the
role of RR and migraine with / without aura added to works' methodologies
: pooled studies with posterior published results and the structural
standpoints of the studies ( retrospective or prospective : being the
description index before or later in clinical semiology ). The association
of coronary heart disease ( CHD ) and migraine was considered in the PH
study indicating an association between overall migraine and
cardiovascular disease , with a significant 42 % increase in the risk of
myocardial infarction. On the other hand , a classical study by Daugaard ,
Thomson and Olesen described the role of neurogenic inflammation in
clinical diagnosis of venous dilatation ( Queckenstedt sign ) ( as was the
theory of venules inflammation in migraine prototypes ) , but which
enhanced the role of arterial territories descriptives as sectional
descriptions in these series.
