I disagree with just one point in this article: 'patients' is not
necessarily the best word to describe those receiving psychiatric
treatment.
A 'patient', by the word's definition and etymology, is passive,
suffering. A lot of mental health work involves trying to encourage people
to take control of their lives (I am trying to avoid the awful buzzword
'empower'!)
For people in this situation, I think that 'service user' is actually
a better description.
