Re: Re: Is there no place for integrity in academic medicine?
I am glad that Gareth Penman has finally acknowledged that I was dealing with John Stone's "inaccurate use of the term unemployed" ,and I am "technically correct". As to why Dr Blumsohn is "no longer working in academia" is not a matter upon which I am obliged to speculate.Nor would it be proper or fair to comment upon such sensitive issue without a full and independent account of his both professional & personal circumstances.
I never suggested that it is improper to highlight a misquotation;in fact, I acknowledged the same and apologised. However,my misquotation does not take away John Stone's wrongful assertion that Dr Blumsohn is "unemployable".Given my clear and prompt apology, I maintain that the said misquotation remains otiose.
