Effect of listening to Nellie the Elephant during CPR training on performance of chest compressions by lay people: randomised crossover trial

BMJ 2009; 339 doi: (Published 14 December 2009) Cite this as: BMJ 2009;339:b4707

When I learned CPR in 1st year medical school (1998), we were taught
by an old eccentric Dundonian who was often seen in the town centre
muttering to himself.
Anyway, he taught us to sing a song from a 1970s advert.

It went like this:

McEwans is the best beer, the best beer, the best beer.
McEwans is the best beer, the best buy in beer.

Now chest compressions are 30:2, I have to sing 2 verses.
