EWTD in the European capital

It was a great pleasure to read the letter from Ashok K Bohra (5
December)on the attitude of countries other than the UK to EU Directives.
It gives the lie to anti-Europeans who continually claim that we are in
danger of being wholly ruled from Brussels.

Instead of trying to hang onto the coat-tails of big daddy accross
the Atlantic we should be wholeheartedly within the European Union when we
might be in a better position to influence the content of such Directives.
