A discriminating judgment

Opinion was sought from leading counsel, but the actual content of
the advice given is apparently covered by legal privilege. I find this
objectionable as not only is the cost being met from GMC annual fees, but
the people in effect paying for it do not have access to the specific
advice. Was advice sought from more than one leading counsel? If so, did
their opinions conflict? Who gave the advice? How much did it cost? What
about some transparency?
