Rapid Response:

Deaths attributed to influenza in previous years

While I appreciate that the techniques used to ascertain deaths from
pandemic A/H1N1 are unique to this study, it would be interesting to have
figures for influenza related mortality, using the usual methodology, for
at least 2005-9. Without them, it's impossible to conclude whether this
year's mortality is in any way out of the ordinary.
