Hospitals urged to review how far key emergency staff live from work

Rapid Response:

Commute to work

Travel-time and distance from home to work is under scrutiny.
The current case involves the time taken for non-residential
on-call staff to arrive in work in the case of an emergency
[1]. As we become increasingly aware of the need to reduce our
carbon-footprint, perhaps such a review should not only
consider the safety implications of long commutes, but also
the environmental ramifications.
