2010 update for QRISK2 and release of open source software

Readers may be interested in the annual update for QRISK2 which was issued on 01 April 2010 and also the release of QRISK2 open source software under the GNU lesser GPL (V3). By making QRISK2 available as open source software we hope to widen its use in a way which can be verified. See www.qrisk.org and www.qintervention.org for further information.

Competing interests: JHC is director of QResearch (database used for developing QRISK2) and ClinRisk (which makes open and closed source software available to help the reliable implementation of QRISK)
