Obesity and heart disase in India.

A similar observation is evident in developing countries like India,
where the population is divided into groups of people with a low socio-
economic status, who are thin, and active doing physical work in the rural
areas and coronary heart disease is rarely heard of in this group,
rheumatic heart disase being commoner.Hoever, the population pockets in
India, who live in the higher socioeconomic group indulge in the dynamics,
of high living , rich food and obesity, and hence shorten their lives with
coronary heart disease.Lots needs to be done in these population groups to
educate them towards healthy lifestyle changes.
