Differential Diagnosis

I refer to the first clinical vignette. The most important illness
to outrule in a young man presenting with such a febrile illness and
raised bilirubin would of course be Leptospirosis.

I take it that the necessary tests were done to outrule this
potentially fatal infectious illness?
