Can fetuses feel pain?

It would seem from Stuart Derbyshire's article that it is debatable
whether a fetus can feel pain.(1)

It is clear though, as he acknowledges, that this sense or absence of
pain in the fetus has no bearing on the morality of abortion. Pain has no
value in establishing the worth of an individual.

Likewise, the abusive nature of abortion, towards those women on whom
it is done (and sold to under the guise of choice) and to the doctors
required to perform it, remains the same.
