Government committee calls for better cancer services in England

BMJ 2005; 330 doi: https://doi.org/10.1136/bmj.330.7485.213 (Published 27 January 2005) Cite this as: BMJ 2005;330:213

Rapid Response:

Blame It On The Tzar.

Enough is Enough . . .

One of the major reasons why Cancer Sufferers in the United Kingdom
tend to 'Summarily Drop Dead' (long before most of their other peers in
Similarly Developed Nations), is simply because of the Abject Lack of
Unequivocal Top Level Support whenever the words 'Alternative Therapy' are
daintily brought into the Ongoing Therapeutic Equation.

The Department of Health must therefore be Maverickly seen to
contritely yelp an astutely convincing 'Mea Maxima Culpa' ,while suavely
making Holistic Amends ; before it is just too late.

Until Great Britain can proudly boast of a National Cancer Director
(or Cancer Tzar or Neoplastic Maharajah) who is exceedingly knowledgeable
in the Life Enhancing Attributes of Basic Alternative Medicine ; then more and more Poor Little Cancer Sufferers will very sadly be finding
themselves 'Elegantly Dying' long before their 'Actual Time' is well and
truly up.

The Very Best Cancer Management Strategy that money can buy is one in
which both Orthodox (Conventional) Therapies and Alternative Methods (of
Care) are equitably allowed their own fair shares of the Integrated Healing Plan.

Nothing More . Nothing Less.
