relief of ice cream headache

I have always been able to get rid of ice cream headache by
rubbing the paraspinal areas of C3 downward to C7 on both
sides. I use firm massaging of area for only a few minutes or
less. Who knows if a reflex action or what is causing the
relief..However, you can slowly feel it leave.
