Rapid Response:

Obituary of Alexander Russell by Bernard Valman and rapid reponse by Leonard Sinclair

I would like to congratulate Bernard Valman to his accurate obituary
of Alexander Russell, which draws the picture of a true paediatrician,
researcher and teacher in the Hippocratic sense. I have known Alexander
Russell on a professional and personal level for the last eight years and
appreciated his clear and honest mind as well as his dedication to the
cause of the child. On the other hand, Leonard Sinclair's bitter response
to the obituary is entirely unnecessary. Not only has he lost contact with
Alex for several decades, but he also appears to have forgotten the
principle "de mortuis nil nisi bene".
