Rapid Response:

Best practice in pathology- omission

Editor,

My response of 20 March contained an omission. Before this is
highlighted elsewhere, I must add that the membership of the group
referred to includes the Association of Clinical Pathologists, which not
only contribues to the group but was, in fact, instrumental in its
formation through the support of its council members for the original
idea. A case perhaps of a surfeit of -ologists.

In any event, readers should be aware of the very important
contribution of the ACP.

Dr WSA Smellie.
