Dr Khan's response to the article reiterates the problem faced by most
health care organisations in the 19th century, ignorance peppered with
arrogance.

In today’s world , teams work in collaboration to efficiently deliver
care. Nursing is one of the key contributors in this cycle and is not a by
product of medicine.

I am astounded by Dr Khan's assertions and hope that future
contributions will be based on current evidence and beliefs.
