Dear Sir,
Very timely article!
I could suggest a good book that gives more details about this risky
business of producing epidemiologic data:

Science Without Sense. Steven Milloy. CATO Institute,
1000, Mass Ave., Washington, DC 21000, USA.

Apropos the letter from Dr. Cherian Verkey, the Shustruta Samhita gives
more details of all the risks in a nutshell.

In addition to all the things mentioned by Dr.Verkey anger, jealousy,
hatred and depression are said to be the major risk factors for all killer
diseases. Modern medicine is slowly realizing their significance now.
