We excluded studies in which the antibiotic prophylaxis was conducted before the extraction of catheter,19-22 cohort study,23 the endpoint was not “symptomatic UTIs,”24-26 patients in the control group received another agent.27 Among the 9 eligible studies, we then precluded 1 unpublished clinical trial because it was lack of detailed information we need.15
