Mmmm, the aroma of roast beef and gravy . . .
Not those kinds of emissions. We’re talking about carbon emissions—which global food and drink companies are failing to substantially reduce, according to youth led campaign group Bite Back.1 In fact, the top 10 food and drink companies were responsible for 477 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions in 2022—more than the aviation industry (426 million tonnes).
