General practices in England will get 7.4% increase to fund pay rises

The government has confirmed that general practices in England will be given a 7.4% increase to their core funding for 2024-25 to fund pay rises for GPs and staff.
It follows the announcement last month that ministers had accepted in full the recommendations of the Review Body on Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration (DDRB) to offer GPs a 6% rise this year.1
