Junior doctors in England strike for 10th time as pay dispute rumbles on

The dispute over pay between the government and junior doctors in England saw its 10th strike this week as doctors staged a full five day walkout from 7 am on Saturday 24 February. Junior doctors in England have now been on strike for almost a year, with their first walkout having taken place in mid-March last year.

Ahead of the latest action, ​the co-chairs of the BMA Junior Doctors Committee for England, Robert Laurenson and Vivek Trivedi, once again urged the health secretary, Victoria Atkins, to present an offer sufficient to avoid further action.
