Doctors should be cautious when sharing information on WhatsApp, says Medical Defence Union

The Medical Defence Union has advised doctors to post information on private social messaging services, such as WhatsApp, only if they would be happy for it to be made public.
The union has helped with social media queries from more than 300 healthcare workers in the past three years, a third of which were from professionals looking for advice on their social media use or for support in dealing with a complaint after making a social media post.
