NICE lowers cholesterol target for people with cardiovascular disease

Doctors should aim to reduce low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels among people with cardiovascular disease to 2.0 mmol/L or less, or non-high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol levels to 2.6 mmol/L or less, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has advised.1
