“Work limiting” health conditions affect 3.7 million people in UK, analysis finds

One in eight people currently in work in the UK have a “work limiting” health condition that results in them earning less than the average, an analysis has found.1
The Health Foundation analysis says that 3.7 million people—12% of the working age population—are currently in work and have a condition that restricts the type or amount of work they can do. This has risen by 1.4 million over the past decade. Projections show that the trend is set to continue, as around 0.5 million more working age people are predicted to have a major illness by 2030.
