What’s this got to do with medicine?

This is about academia and the questionable practices that can sometimes occur when listing authors on research papers.

I’m not following this

The League of European Research Universities (Leru) has proposed that journals across the board should move away from the idea of “authorship” altogether1 and switch to listing researchers as “contributors” in “movie-style credits” at the end of a published paper.
