NHS organisations are urged to commit to stamping out sexual harassment in the workplace

NHS trusts, general practices, and medical royal colleges are being encouraged to sign up to a sexual safety charter aimed at eradicating sexual harassment in the NHS.

In addition to the voluntary charter, every NHS trust and integrated care board in England will have a domestic abuse and sexual violence lead to support patients and staff in reporting incidents and accessing support, NHS England has said.

NHS organisations are being strongly urged to sign up to the sexual safety charter, which comprises 10 commitments.1 These include a commitment to “provide appropriate support for those in our workforce who experience unwanted, inappropriate and/or harmful sexual behaviours.” NHS England said that the form this support would …
