More than 100 medical journals, including The BMJ and the Lancet, have issued an urgent call for the elimination of nuclear weapons, warning that the “danger is great and growing.”1
The editorial—cowritten by the editors of leading medical and health journals, the World Association of Medical Editors, and International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War—highlights the intensifying situations in Ukraine and Korea and emphasises that any use of nuclear weapons would be catastrophic for humanity.
