Diabetes cases in UK reach all time high, charity warns

The UK is in the “grip of a rapidly escalating diabetes crisis,” with the number of people affected topping five million for the first time ever, the charity Diabetes UK has warned.
Type 2 diabetes is becoming increasingly common among people aged under 40 and is more prevalent in areas with higher levels of deprivation, the charity’s new analysis shows.1
