Canadian wildfires create hazardous air conditions in eastern US

Smoke from more than 200 wildfires in Quebec is making breathing dangerous for about 100 million people in the midwestern states of the US and a 1000 mile stretch of the US east coast.
The smoke, which began arriving on 5 June, is expected to move south and to lessen but will last for at least several days.
