Anthony David Clift

Anthony David Clift (“Tony”) was born in Manchester, where he also went to medical school, which he enjoyed tremendously. He did his national service in the Royal Air Force and was based at Valley in Anglesey. He seriously considered staying on, having generally had a whale of a time there. He eventually opted for general practice, however, spending his formative training—and early married life with Anne—in Carlisle.
