From your article: "working conditions and the standards of care that staff are able to offer". Hear! Hear!

If only we could strike to ask for managers to be held accountable when they have taken zero action to prevent the deterioration in the standards of care: insufficient training, insufficient competence for the roles where especially non doctor staff are placed, accepting all and any proposals to cut budgets because saying yes is a good career move, saying no, not so much... Pay is far from being the main reason doctors and nurses are leaving the NHS, and I think it's rather sad that this point has been lost in the current debate.
