E-cigarettes: FDA issues fines to four companies for selling unapproved vapes

The US Food and Drug Administration has fined four companies that made and sold e-liquids (vapes) used in e-cigarettes. It is the first time the FDA has filed complaints seeking financial damages against tobacco product manufacturers because they violated its requirements for premarket review of new tobacco products.12
