Soaring energy costs will force practices to close without extra support, leaders warn

General practice leaders must push for additional financial support for practices to protect them from the “catastrophic impact” of rising energy prices, local medical committees have urged. At the conference of England’s LMCs in London on 24 November, GP representatives passed a motion warning that soaring energy costs were threatening the financial viability of practices, amid warnings that many were at risk of closure.
