Re: Rachel Clarke: Are women’s reproductive rights safe in the UK?

Dear Editor,

I would suggest that the article title be changed from “Are women’s reproductive rights safe in the UK?” to "Are Women’s abortion rights safe in the UK?"

The nuance is important because otherwise it seems that the author makes the assumption that reproductive rights in the UK already exist.

Unfortunately, people with infertility or those requiring fertility treatment in the UK do not have fair access to assisted reproduction treatment.

NICE guidance for funding of three IVF cycles has historically been brazenly ignored by CCGs . People including those from middle-low economic backgrounds, Black women, and people from the LBGTQ+ communities have even greater challenges in accessing fertility care.
