Cost of living is directly harming child health, paediatricians warn

Paediatricians have called on the UK’s new prime minister, Liz Truss, to take urgent action to tackle rising child inequalities and poverty amid the ongoing crisis affecting the cost of living.

Ministers must publish the delayed white paper on health disparities and set out clearly how child poverty and health inequalities will be reduced, said the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
