A Paradigm Shift Is Needed. Re: Rammya Mathew: Keep caring, even when it’s hard
Dear Editor,
Often the discussions are centred on what governments are not doing and what governments should do.
This is a system of dole-outs.
Where are the Governments going to find money to spend it on all the wants of people but from the Taxpayers' money? That means more Taxes. The Taxes are recovered by industries, traders, service-providers and so on from customers.
Thus, either the people pay for the healthcare education, etc, from their pockets or they pay taxes so that governments pay for these services.
People will spend on luxuries, celebrations, games, recreation, tourism, adventures, alcohol, tobacco and so on; but they want Governments to pay for healthcare and education.
As long as this attitude persists the dissatisfaction will continue.
