The UK’s Maternity Disparities Taskforce has called for more targeted interventions from primary care to reach women who are most in need before they become pregnant.
The taskforce was launched in February 2022 with a remit of tackling inequalities in maternity care and identifying how the government can improve outcomes for women from ethnic minorities and those living in the most deprived areas.
