Basic Rights Re: Should patients own their health records?

Dear Editor,

Very simply put, Patients should receive a complete copy of their health records and should be able to dynamically update the status of the health records, while every Health Facility that provided the service also should be in position to hold a copy of the health records of the people they have provided the service to.

In the age of digital data and computers, generating, storing and updating health records digitally and producing hard copies as needed should not be difficult for both people and healthcare providers.
