Grave concern - whatever happened to the public interest?

Dear Editor

I agree with recent responders [1] that this is a matter [2] which not only needs to be reported it needs to be acted upon. The fact that it has not itself begs many questions (not least on the day the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care mandated the shots for all NHS staff). Despite the news blackout this article has far and away the highest Altmetric score of any BMJ article (41900) [3] while John Campbell’s video has understandably about 850k views after 3 days [4]. Obviously, BMJ is to be commended for publishing this critical information but the discretion of mainstream media is an eerie commentary on our time.
