On 14 September 2021, I analysed the rapid responses to Hurley and colleagues’ article on assisted dying of 9 September 2021,1 finding that all 11 responses expressed opposition. This reflects a response to the partisan stance of The BMJ, which is not proportionately representative of BMA members’ views.
