Government pledges £932m to cut emissions from hospitals and other public buildings

More than 400 projects across England will receive funding totalling £932m (€1.1bn; £1.3bn) to reduce carbon emissions from public buildings such as hospitals and schools, the government has said.
The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme was announced by business and energy secretary Kwasi Kwarteng on 17 March, and will fund low carbon heating systems, such as heat pumps, as well as energy efficiency measures like insulation and LED lighting. …
