Poll on BMA opposition to assisted dying
Assisted dying survey: support differs for physician assisted suicide and voluntary euthanasia

The title of Torjesen’s article, “BMA should drop its opposition to assisting dying, say members in landmark poll,”1 misrepresents the results of the BMA survey, which describes physician assisted dying as both “prescribing drugs for self-administration” (physician assisted suicide) and “administering drugs” (voluntary euthanasia). The space given to voluntary euthanasia—just two paragraphs tagged on at the end—is a travesty.
