NHS England’s report Delivering a “Net Zero” National Health Service12 leaves out three important considerations. It states that food and catering account for 6% of total emissions but makes no reference to the vastly greater emissions generated by meat (particularly beef and lamb) and dairy products compared with plant based diets.
