Jeffrey George Bissenden (“Jeff”) was born in Hyde, Cheshire, and attended Stockport Grammar School, where he excelled academically and in all sports. After graduating, he did his early postgraduate training at Southmead Hospital in Bristol and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
