Alongside covid-19, environmental challenges should be prioritised.1 Unfortunately, Pakistan is currently facing both types of disaster.
Recent heavy rains across the country have left dozens dead (310, including 107 children), thousands affected, and swept away entire hamlets, 220 000 houses, livestock, and agricultural land, with water reservoirs now filled to capacity.2 Damage includes a lack of shelter, drinking water, food, drugs, electricity, and communication means.
